Gretsch Synchromatic Acoustic Model

This guitar dates back to the mid-to-late 1940s, and is one of the rarest models in Greg's collection. Developed as a jazz guitar, it was also used in the early 1950s on many classic Rock'n'roll and rock-abilly recordings made in the USA. The Synchromatic was designed to be part of a line of "modern" guitars marketed by Gretsch. An example of this is the style of the unique "cat's eyes" cutaway holes in the body of the guitar. Aside from being a beautiful and "warm" sounding acoustic guitar,
this model was recently immortalized by pop star George Michael, who used the guitar in his famous "Faith" music video.
