On why ELP broke up in 1980...

I think we were the victims of over exposure and over-touring. We just did too many live shows and we wanted to stop, but at that time the record company didn't want us to stop, they wanted us to keep recording. And we were basically pressured into making that record, LOVE BEACH, which we really didn't want to do. When the music is
right and when it's coming naturally and it's not forced, then it's healthy and it's great fun. I think near the end of the 70s, we just got burned out.
