| I think one of the very first rock records I owned was "Lucille" by Little Richard. He just blew me away. He had so much energy. When I finally got a guitar and started to take lessons, the age of 12 or 13, the first rock song I ever played was "Apache." It had been done by a group called The Shadows, who later teamed up with Sir Cliff Richard. They were the British equivalent to The Ventures. I still enjoy hearing that record and playing it on the guitar. |
