Greg Lake on the importance of honesty in creating music |
|||
I think the only way I know how to create music is to do it with extreme honesty. I can only write honestly and write songs which mean a lot to me about subjects that mean a lot to me, personally. I do this in the hope that they become polarization points for all the energy out there and ultimately help to communicate | ||||
the song. In the end, I want it to lead to the piece being as inspired and as powerful as can be. At the end of the day, everyone knows when the music isn't honest. So, it can only work and be successful if it is written and created from the heart. |
