To all my friends and fans from all over the world I would like to take this opportunity to wish each and every one of you a happy and peaceful Christmas and a healthy new year ahead.
At the same time as doing this I would also like to express my deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to all of those families who have lost a loved one during this latest school shooting in Newtown Connecticut.
Sometimes it is impossible to understand why if there is a God in heaven that such terrible things are allowed to happen. I have to be honest and say that I have no real answer to that question other than to say that if we continue allow mentally ill young people to have easy access to deadly automatic weapons then we had better be ready for more of the same.
Perhaps the best Christmas present we could all give to each other this year is to support President Obama in his struggle to make the USA a safer place for people to live. At least this way, these precious lives that were lost would not have been lost in vain.
All the very best,
Greg Lake.

To all my friends around the globe: I am very happy and proud to announce the recent
arrival of my new grandson Gabriel who was born to Natasha and Dewey, my daughter and
son-in-law. Of course like any grandparents we are overjoyed to see this new life
begin and rejoice in all of the messages of goodwill that have been sent to us.
The birth of a young baby is something that no one can really or properly describe.
It is the actual moment when a new life begins, it is both spiritually and
physically overwhelming. If ever there is a moment when a person might come close to
understanding the meaning of God or indeed the meaning of life it is then, at the
actual moment of birth.
I see it in nature and the marvel is the same. I see it as the chrysalis breaks open
to reveal the perfect butterfly and I see it as each year when the leaves fall from
the trees and are reborn once again in the warm spring sunshine.
Life is a miracle to be treasured every single day.
Best,
Greg.

To all the many fans and friends who came along to see my recent Songs of a Lifetime tour I would like to thank you for sharing these wonderful moments together. I was extremely touched by all the love and warmth which I was shown and which was shared by everyone who came and attended the shows. Even though I worked very hard to create this show I was completely overwhelmed by the enthusiastic and heartfelt response from the audience with standing ovations every single night. It really was more than I could have ever hoped for. I am so pleased and proud of the response to the show, and have already been requested to extend the tour by performing a second leg early in the new year.
Thank you so much for sharing your stories and memories and for being a part of this remarkable journey.
Very best wishes and I look forward to sharing more Songs of a Lifetime together again very soon.
Greg Lake.

To everyone who is following the Greg Lake Songs of a Lifetime tour. I have just finished the second night here in Montreal. For me the show was a truly wonderful experience and it was just great to see so many people who had come to relive this journey together with me.
When I started this tour I really had no idea how it would be received but I have been absolutely stunned by the depth of feeling and the reaction of the audience to the songs and to the stories that I am reliving. It is always a pleasure performing in Montreal as this has now become a bit of a second home for me, but even then I was surprised by the depth of feeling and emotion coming from the audience. What a fantastic start to the tour!
I very much look forward to seeing everyone in the very near future, please do try not to miss this show, it is something very special.
All the very best,
Greg Lake.

I was heartbroken tonight to hear about the death of Whitney Houston. Not only was it way before her time to go but the whole world has now lost one of its most beautiful jewels. Not only did Whitney have a God given talent as a singer but she was an extremely beautiful human being as well. What happened to this poor vulnerable girl was both tragic and unforgivable.
My most sincere condolences to her family and may she now rest in peace.
Greg Lake.
